The brains behind our fun challenges...Bug hunter & Solve a Problem

Every once in a while we host and share games and events for our QA network to attend for challenging themselves within our field. Two of those challenges are Solve a problem and Bug hunter. Sometimes we host them during specific events to take part in IRL at a job fair for example, and sometimes we host them on our website and social media.
To make the most fun and challenging activities to share with you, we have to use highly creative and skilled people (and we have lots of those people in our company).
So let us introduce two of the brains behind some of the challenges - Mille and Selma!

Reflections from the WASP Winter Conference

There are different ways to go ahead if you would like to be on the front line of things. From our point of view, it is about keeping up with the latest trends and the research that is going on in different areas, more specifically, testing and quality assurance. At System Verification we do that in different ways. One is to attend different conferences, seminars, and workshops but it could also be to have a colleague as a PhD student. In our case, Adha Hrusto is part of the WASP program, i.e. the largest research program in Sweden, focusing on the autonomous system, artificial intelligence, and software. Her research focuses on continuous system testing and monitoring of SoS (System of Systems) during operational execution, which will enable the prediction of unexpected system failures.

December initiatives

As many of you already know, System Verification is not only a kick-ass niched QA company but also a company filled with caring individuals with the need and wish to help others.

During the year, with different kinds of initiatives, we gave our take topositively contribute to a better society, whether through a competition, where our winning employees got the opportunity to choose an organization to support with the prize money, simply raising money for a joint purpose, or something completely different. What matters the most is that this way of living, the need of supporting others among us is a part of us all, and we are very proud of what we can achieve together.

Add another string to your test automation bow

As test professionals, we need to have the knowledge and hands-on experience of the tools and techniques used there. So it’s always a good idea to seize the opportunity to learn something new whenever you get the chance. In this post, I would like to introduce you to an online community that I’ve found highly useful for learning more about test automation.

Test Automation University (TAU) is an online education community with more than 100,000 enrolled students. It’s available at testautomationu.applitools.com.

Movember - Movement for a better cause

For all our System Verification offices, November is a month full of activity. Traditionally, we choose this month to be full of events and movement, but we also gave it a special meaning due to a greater cause connected to it. We named it Movember - as a lot of other initiatives, but with an extra mening into the ''move''- part.

Movement is a very important part of well-being. Doing all sorts of activities, whether they are exercise or a simple afternoon walk, we take care of our health, and make our life more joyful. But what if we use that initiative, connect the dots, and work both on our health and also as a way to help others? November is the month when people worldwide take a moment to acknowledge the fight against prostate cancer.
We are all aware of the fact that this year has been a tough one for the people of Ukraine, and we wanted to niche ourselves even more and help cancer victims and their loved ones in the shadow of the war - both men and women, of Ukraine. So that is exactly what we did.
